I think the numbers on GLD are way off (1,000 oz) Try
these numbers-

GLD ADDS 609K ozs of gold today.. 3/19/09

Total Gold In Trust:
Tonnes: 1,103.29
Ounces: 35,471,832

yesterdays numbers

Total Gold In Trust:
Tonnes: 1,084.33
Ounces: 34,862,399

Unless a person is sitting next to the people at GS and JPM
who are manipulating and depressing the price of gold & silver,
..........there is no way anyone can predict where prices are
going. It does not help the U.S. govt to have major inflows
to gold & silver positions instead of bonds, treasuries, etc.
so expect major resistance to gold over $1,000.00 oz. They
have been very successful so far in 2008 and 2009 to keep
downward pressure every time it rises. Luck to all in this
market.

You don't need to be a genius, feeling cheated. You want to conserve value, then buy gold. Gold has a unique property, like drawing an insurancepremium against total valueloss.

Gold is not legal tender, but who cares legal tender being in the hand of criminals
